Had to have a bit of a ride around to find somewhere with a bit of wind, we went over to the park behind my house where i usually fly back at home but with an easterly wind the air is very turbulent because you're flying right behind a hill.

Decided to try the common out which is about ten minutes down the road and it was just as i thought there - crap. Too many dog owners and dog crap to dodge.

Then as a last attempt (desperate attempts now!) we tried himley park where there was no wind at first, so we went mountainboarding there since we'd paid for the 2 hours car parking. (a whole 50p!)

After a couple of rides downhill and i'd lost a few litres of blood (ok an exaggeration) the wind seemed to pick up, so we tried boarding with the nasa wing, which was ok at times because it's a very light kite, but the peel on its 40m lines flew better up higher in the cleaner air than the nasa wing on only 25m lines.

Not the best of sessions by any means, but we got out at least. I miss the beach now!
